ABOUT JUAN PUERTA
Juan David Puerta is a young, forward-thinking producer from Quindío, Colombia, and the founder of Sens Coffee. Unlike many growers in the region, Juan wasn’t raised in the coffee industry — he discovered it later and dove in with a fresh, hungry curiosity. That outsider perspective fuels his creativity today. He’s part of a new wave of Colombian producers blending modern processing techniques, intentional fermentation, and selective harvesting to showcase the vibrant potential of their terroir. Meeting him in October was truly inspiring — his passion, humility, and drive to elevate his community shine through in every coffee he produces.
Juan David Puerta’s coffees never fail to impress. With a background in food science and engineering, he’s honed his signature mossto process—using a supersaturated solution to dehydrate cherries through osmotic pressure. This lot, co-fermented with mango with notes of mango, honeydew, and pineapple. It’s a wild, tropical, and imaginative cup that showcases Juan’s precision and creativity.
